The Cumbrian Tally-Uncover the Methera Story

Born from the fells and forged by the water, Methera creates technical streetwear for the cold and the rough. We craft long-lasting gear rooted in deep Cumbrian heritage for a life lived between city streets and the wild edge of the world’s deepest reaches.

The Depths of the Diaries

Methera wasn’t born in a design studio – it was born at 4 a.m. on the banks of Windermere.

For years LAKE DISTRICT DIARIES has been about the raw reality of angling in the North – the grit, the fells and the relentless pursuit of the Lake District’s apex predators.

We’ve spent hours mapping the basins and documenting the life of the water wolf in England’s deepest reaches. But we couldn’t find gear that matched the mindset.

We wanted clothing that could handle the cold, rugged landscape but wouldn’t look out of place back in the towns. We wanted black, bold aesthetics that ditched the tired, traditional camouflage for something sharper – something that reflected the dark, technical nature of modern predator fishing.

Methera is the evolution of those diaries. This isn’t just merch – it’s technical streetwear for those who live for the strike, rooted in the heritage of the Cumbrian landscape and refined for the modern hunter.

From the diaries to the deep. In the old fells we didn’t count in ones and twos – we counted in yan and tyan. This is the tally of the hunt, the record of every strike documented in the diaries – from the first hit, yan, to the deep-water monsters: Methera.

Count the strikes. Wear the story. The fourth mark. The final strike.

The Methera Collector’s Card: For the Next Generation

Our mission goes beyond the gear. We’re here to bridge the gap between the old guard and the new blood. The Methera collector’s card is more than a token; it’s a membership to the hunt. We’re inspiring the younger generation to leave the digital screens behind and reclaim the grit of the fells, learning the technical craft of predator angling while respecting the raw heritage of the Lake District waters.

Our Core Values

Deep Roots

Craftsmanship

Born from the maps and marshes of Windermere, our identity is permanently anchored in the heritage of the Lake District diaries and Cumbrian landscapes.

We build technical streetwear that survives the strike. Every stitch is a commitment to performance, merging sharp aesthetics with rugged durability.

Fell & Water Respect

Long-Lasting Gear

The wild waters are our sanctuary. We promote a deep respect for the fells and the apex predators within, ensuring the legacy of the hunt carries on responsibly.

Engineered for cold, rough conditions, our gear outlasts the season. We create functional pieces that bridge the gap from the deep water to the town.

Meet the Founders

Guided by the spirit of the Lake District, we built Methera to bridge the gap between technical grit and the modern landscape.

FOUNDER & OWNER

Harry Hornsby

Esme sketched Methera from the fells and the water, turning cold mornings and soaked gear into a brand built for people who live between city streets and wild lakes.

CO-FOUNDER & ANGLER

Harry brings the angler’s eye to Methera, testing every piece in real Cumbrian weather so the gear earns its place on the bank, in the boat, and back in town.
